Until you can see there is no vision. Since the beginning of the year you should have had an idea and clarity of where you are going in your future. This is far bigger than your practice and more important than just building your practice. We are where we are in our lives by the fruits of our thoughts. Our thoughts have manifested our destination in life up to this point. Most likely where you are right now has some bearing on where you were last year but it may go back even further than that. Whether it is your personal life, your business life or your practice all of these areas need to have a vision, a mission and a purpose for why you are doing what you are currently doing right now. Some of you that are reading this article are happy to be in the situation you are in right now while others are looking for the answers that continue to elude them. Let start with your vision do you see clearly the importance of manifesting a practice that is based upon educating your patients not just wellness and health but on the necessity of long term doctor patient relationships and increased function not decreased pain relief. Patients want to come to a doctor not only for hope but for guidance and a pathway to becoming healthier. I think somewhere along the way in many practices that notion has been forgotten. The vision that you have for your practice and your life needs to be displayed somewhere, so you can see it. The vision for your practice should be marketed to your patients and staff as part of the reason that your practice exists. It comes back to taking the time to figure out if you are truly seeing the components of your life with clarity. You have to declare your truth in what you want and write your truths down and draw the line and start living them. Otherwise you are living an inconsistency that will hold you back from what you want to accomplish in your life. The question becomes, when are you going to wake up the inner spirit in you and start taking the responsibility for your actions? The inner spirit that we talk about is innate intelligence and can only be tapped into when you are right thinking. You not only need to look at your self but those people that you keep around you that will either be part of the problem or part of the solution. Your inner circle of people that you are working with and socializing with should be comprised of people that also see your mission. This is the decision that you have to make for yourself and for your future. The dilemma continues with in you and that has been what keeps many great doctors down in their practice is their over thinking and inability to make a decision even when they have a sense of seeing it clearly. Practices and lifestyle are determined by your thinking and your belief, confidence, experience and knowledge for what you are doing. If you are not continuing to study, learn more and apply what you have been taught then you have no reason to complain about what your current status. Can you imagine being a professional any thing and not honing your skills at what ever you are a professional of? The mission is the next step to developing clarity. Writing down and setting times to achieve what you really want must be a priority. Goals with out time lines are not taken seriously and most likely if they are not achieved there is no consequence for failing except the inner realization that you really didn’t want it as bad as you said you did. Declaring your goals in front of a mirror and as you declare them continue to get closer and closer to that mirror until you are looking directly into your eyes will tell you whether it is true or just another un achievable goal. If at any point your goals are no longer important to attain there will be a time of distortion of what you really want and that in turn cause a blurring of what you see. These are not new concepts but ones that require constant attention. This is not a one time event this is an all the time event. The purpose or inner spirit that is driving you in the direction that you are going will be the force or the vehicle that will drive your vision and your mission that should be thought out in great detail if there is ever going to be advancement in your practice and your life. Looking forward to the steps that are necessary to achieve a great professional and personal life has everything to do with working together with those around you that have the same vision, mission, and purpose. If you are not involved with something bigger than get involved. The doctors that have chosen to work together for the betterment of chiropractic have stepped up to the plate.
