First you begin writing your article on the topic you have sufficient knowledge about - CHIROPRACTIC. You, as a chiropractor, are the expert in telling your story to the general public.  When choosing the title of your article, it should be compelling and intriguing enough for your reader to want to read the whole article.  It should be informative enough for the average person, who may not know anything about chiropractic, to learn about its benifits.  If you come across as genuine with a desire to help people, you will create interest for people to come and check out your practice.  You will also announce to people who are already aware of the benefits of chiropractic in your area that you are available for new patients.

10 key things to remember when putting together an article:

    1. Everyone is looking for solutions and your will provide them with you expertise as a professional chiropractor.

    2. Your article should be approximately 300 words.

    3. Use The AIDA Principle
      Attention
      Interest
      Desire
      Action
      (Entice the reader with a great title and keep them reading with a clearly written article.)

    4. Make a list of 7 points that you will cover in each article. Seven is a good number because it gives you enough room to make your point.

    5. The introduction is extremely important. It grabs the audience’s attention and pulls the readers into the story.

    6. The body should contain accurate information, anecdotes and quotations.

    7. The conclusion should pull it all together, but try to leave the reader wanting just a little bit more. This is called a soft ending, and is typical of articles that do well.

    8. Proofread Your Work!
      Nothing shouts out amateur, newbie, or just plain unprofessional than an article filled with typos and bad grammar. Have a trusted colleague proofread it.

    9. Don’t overlook websites that accept article submissions. Many websites operate on a limited budget and appreciate articles written by experts. You can offer to swap articles with website owners and co-promote each other.

    10. Conclusion -
      If you consistently write an article every 2 weeks and submit it for publication you will soon generate a steady stream of traffic to your practice for years to come.

The style and format of the article will depend on the style guidelines of the publication or website that you are writing for. Before you begin writing the article, you may need to pitch the idea to the right person. Start in advance to build a rapport with some of your local publications, chiropractic journals and other formats who accept articles from free-lance writers. Send samples of your writing that you think will appeal to the publishers and editors as well as their readers.  Remember to always remain genuine to who you are and be sincere in trying to help others.
